The Bengal's offense has not performed as advertised this year. Long gone are the days of Chad Johnson's pre game boastings and predictions. Chad has 300 yards and 1 touchdown in 5 games and seems more and more frustrated with the lack of big game explosion in Cincinnati's offense. Much of the problem can be traced to the lack of a consistent running game from Rudi Johnson. He is averaging just under 4 yards per rush, but has lacked the long run potential that puts fear into the apposing defenses and opening up the air attack that was the bread and butter for last year's Bengal's.

Having Keyshawn Johnson across the field has been a great help. His 32 receptions for 419 yards this season has proven secondary's can get burnt by either of Carolina's opposing wide outs. The decision to double team Smith is no longer an easy one. If John Fox's team can turn the Bengal's into a one dimensional team early, their pass rush could make it tough day for Cinci's offense and then it will be purely up to Jake Delhomme to get the ball down field for the Panthers.
