Denver Broncos vs Cleveland Browns

The Denver Broncos leave the friendly space of Mile High to travel to Cleveland to face the Browns in week 7. At 4-1, Denver is beginning to get noticed on prospective playoff charts. The Browns under Romeo Cranell have become again the AFC whipping post. With an emotional lift needed in Cleveland almost as much as a win for the 1-4 team. Denver has won the last six meetings between these two teams and seem to be on a path to role over the Browns, but when tenacity and desperation combine with aspiring talent, anything is possible. The questions will involve health of some players and the focus of others.

Cleveland has not won a game at home yet this year and have been looking for any hint of an offense for just as long. Quarterback Charlie Frye has more rushing touchdowns than running back Ruben Droughns. Droughns has 249 rushing yards and Frye has given up almost double the amount of interceptions to TD's (5 to 9). The sad truth is that it can only get better. Tight End Kellen Winslow Jr. has expressed his displeasure on many occasions this season but with more TDs in his stat line than the starting #1 WR Braylon Edwards, not many people can blame him. The match up against the Denver defense is not what the struggling Browns needed in week 7.

The Denver defense held Baltimore to a mere 3 points last week and became a team to watch in the AFC again. The Broncos have settled in with Tatum Bell as their running back and with decent results. And after a beginning of the season that saw fans asking for Quarterback Jake Plummer's job, he has settled in with new wide receiver Javon Walker who is averaging close to 20 yards per catch. The Broncos should have very little trouble winning this game if all goes to plan. Their opportune defense has 13 picks already this season and without a running game to worry about, it could be a long day for Charlie Frye and the Browns.
