Online Craps
Craps is one of the most difficult games to learn for beginners. When you look at the table it appears there are hundreds of different bets. Craps is a game of rounds and understanding this is critical. The first roll of the dice in a craps game is called the "come out" roll. The outcome of a round could be determined on the very first roll. If a 2,3,7,11 or 12 are rolled on the "come out" then the round is ended. If any other total is rolled that number is called the point. The dealer then places a white button on the area of the table designating the point. If a point is rolled in the come out roll then the dice will be continuously rolled until the same point is rolled again or a seven.
Select the amount of chips you wish to bet and place it on the region of the table for the type of bet you wish to make.
A player or shooter is selected to roll the dice after all bets are placed on the craps table. Once the dice comes to rest, losing bets are removed from the table by the dealer and winning bets are paid out to the perspective players.
The Pass Line:
This line is the most fundamental bet in the game of online craps. Typically every player will be on it. This is an even money bet. Start by placing your chips on the pass line area on the table on a come out roll. If the "come out" roll is a 7 or 11 (a natural) the player automatically wins. If the "come out" roll is a 2, 3 or 12 the player automatically loses. If a point is rolled on the "come out" roll and is rolled again before a 7 the player automatically wins. If a 7 is rolled before the point then the player automatically loses. Basically that is all there is to the game of craps. Once a point roll has been thrown at the table you may want to increase your wager up to 2 times your Pass Line Bet on the odds. The odds simply mean an additional wager that the point will be rolled before the 7.
The Don't Pass Line
The don't pass bet is the opposite of the pass line bet. If the "come out" roll is a 2 or 3 then the player wins automatically. If a 7 or 11 is rolled the player immediately loses. Rolling a 12 on the "come out" bet is a push. If none of these 5 numbers are rolled then the dices are rolled over and over until either the Point or a 7 is rolled. This is not the wager of choice for most seasoned craps players since this bet is against the shooter.
The Come Bet
The "come bet" is like the pass line bet although it may be made at anytime. A player might also put money on the odds if the point is thrown on the first roll after the "come bet" is placed.
The Don't Come Bet
The "don't come bet" is opposite to the "come bet". If the shooter rolls a 2 or a 3 then the player automatically wins. A 12 pushes and a 7 or 11 loses. Any other number constitutes a "come bet". The player wins if a 7 is rolled before the "come bet" and loses if the "come point" is rolled before a 7.
The Buy Bet
A "buy bet" is the same as a place bet only with a different payout. A player may wager on any of the points. This means the player bets on a point number that will be rolled before the 7. There is a commission a player must pay on this bet and if you win this bet it will be at fair odds.
The Lay Bet
A "lay bet" is the opposite of a "buy bet" in that you are wagering a 7 will be rolled before the point number you choose. Because the odds are that a 7 is most like to be rolled you will end up wagering more than you win. Again there is a commission paid on this type of bet in online craps.
The Hard Way Bet
There are 4 different types of "hard way bets". This is when a player wagers that a "hard 4" will be rolled before a seven. This means that you are wagering that a pair of 2's will be rolled before a seven or any other combination that adds up to 4. This is referred to as the hard way as the odds of rolling two 2's than a one and a three are much less. The other 3 types of "hard way bets" are with 6, 8 or 10. The casino odds pay much higher for this type of bet however it is far more difficult to win.
