Betting Teasers

Another popular sports gambling bet is a teaser. This sports wager consists of a group of straight bets or total bets combined into one single bet. Similar to a parlay in structure a teaser consists of the line you bet for each individual wager then is moved to your favor by the number of points you have purchased in your teaser bet. For example if the regular line is -10 and you have a 6 point teaser the line would move in your favor by 6 points to -4. In order to win a teaser bet all individual sports wagers you placed must win. Teasers are not available for baseball betting and you can't mix up different sports as there are different points for football and basketball. Teaser bets have a high return on risk depending on the number of teams you choose in your teaser. If one of your teams ties then your teaser will be reduced to the winning number of teams. Typically teasers are 6, 6.5 or 7 points available at most sportsbooks. However some online sports gambling websites do offer a 3 team/10 point teaser. Shop around for the best possible lines available when choosing your teaser bet. Try to ensure that your teaser actually exceeds key numbers when betting football. The key numbers are 3, 4,6and 10.

For example if you have selected Washington +4 the best possible teaser position would be 7 points to take your total on that game to +11 (1 point over the key number of 10).

Although football teasers can be fun and have a higher payout don't use this type of betting as your primary sports wager.
