Total betting is another popular form of sports betting. This type of sports wager is defined by total points scored in any given sporting event. This bet consists of either placing your wager on the total going over the posted line or going under the posted line.
Typically this type of bet will pay out $100 for every $110 you wager.
You can also use total bets as part of a parlay or teaser bet.
Some sportsbooks offer reduced vig on total bets so be sure to shop around and find the best possible line for the least amount of juice.
